I really don't know how they can salvage this final trilogy, when each movie just trashes what came before. Let's see, Return of the Jedi saw the rebels overthrow the evil Empire and restore freedom to the Galaxy. But then somehow the First Order manages to take out the New Republic in about 15 minutes, and Luke turned out to be a loser. Ok.. So we have new characters, with new mysteries, introduced in Force Awakens. All of which gets tossed out in the Last Jedi. What's left??
stan's recent post about the apostasy movie reminded me that i had watched it last month, so i thought i'd write a review.
please note this will probably contain some spoilers so if you care about that sort of thing hold off on reading this.. first i want to say that this is probably one of the most if not the most accurate and reasonable cinematic portrayals of jws.
however here is a list of little inaccuracies: an outdated view that preaching to all the world can 'make' the end come, jesus briefly portrayed with long hair, judicial reinstatement meetings being called "guidance meetings", a normal weekly public talk being introduced as "the first in a series of talks he's prepared for us", applause at the end of a local needs part, and a jw saying of god "you need to earn his love, it's conditional" ( i know this is basically true in practice but they'd rarely say it out loud).
Just saw it tonight. Probably the most accurate portrayal of JW culture I've ever seen depicted. At times it almost felt like I was watching something from JW broadcasting. But it was somewhat bleak and slow moving. I'm not sure how it would be viewed by people who aren't familiar with JWs.

as far as i understand, the organization had to fully accept the un charter and cooperate with the un.the jehovah's witness replied to me that there is no contradiction in this.he said that witnesses are allowed to apply, for example, to courts or other organizations for help.when i told him that the organization is participating in the osce, he is said to be normal too.he said that they are not affected.
This is what opened my eyes. They voluntarily signed up to support and promote the ideals and goals of the UN. And then they fulfilled their obligation!!!! Pull out any Awake! Bound volume from 1992-2001 and you can easily find articles that are basically PR pieces for the UN, with no mention of the UN being the wild beast or image of the wild beast that would soon turn on religion and then be destroyed by Jehover.

The Governing Body has no direct connection to any of the legal corporations, it's been that way since 2001. So that voids about 99% of your argument.

i think as they continue to loose money and members and contributions dry up, that many might be thinking how to get out of this financial mess with some sort of golden parachute, and hand over the reigns to their helpers.. i'm sure with all this bad that is happening to the corporation they would welcome an early retirement with a nice comfy nest egg away from all this bad publicity away from the public eye.

As Sadelder already pointed out, none of the GB are connected to any of the legal corporations, they all resigned back in 2000-2001. Convenient. Of the current GB, Gerrit Loesch is the only member who ever was part of any of the corporations.
I also don't see any real evidence the end is near for Watchtower. They still have millions of followers, money is still rolling in, they have made major cuts to expenses.
